Culture-Cross

Culture-Cross is an artist led multi & split screen video and sound installation exploring cross-cultural art work in England. The project is funded by Arts Council of England.

Culture-Cross has been devised and developed by Jaswinder Singh, a Visual(moving image, films) and performing artist.

During the research and development stage, Jaswinder will look at the work of eight professional artists from different cultures and countries, in order to explore and define the possibilities and challenges of creating new cross-cultural art work using music as the main element.

The Final Video installation will be projected on multi screens, in form of Moving images, stills, Slugs (black screens), voice-overs, graphics, and cross-cultural background music.

From June 2006 the project will tour nationally in Art Galleries and Educational venues in form of a multi screen video and sound installation.

Project partners are funding the project to create and deliver this final installation, which will change perceptions of cross-cultural artwork as it travels to different venues across England.

If you would like to host the installation at your venue, please contact us.
